GRADE II LISTED BARN CONVERSION AND EXTENSION - BLEWBURY, OXFORDSHIRE
Following an initial Site Assessment by our Planning Consultants, MDP were instructed to prepare a Pre Application for the conversion of a Grade II listed barn with an extension.
The village of Blewbury is overwashed by the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The site itself is located along Church Road in the central historic core of the village which is also part of the historic Conservation Area.
The pre-app submission raised many concerns with regard to the following areas; access, parking, heritage impact, trees, ecology and drainage.
Over the following months MDP appointed and briefed a team of specialists to overcome these issues and submitted a sound planning application. Despite the need for many discussions and feedback from consultees, the proposals were approved by Vale of White Horse District Council in July 2021.
Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent are in place for an exceptional barn conversion with a rear extension.
