class Q BARN CONVERSION CREATING TWO NEW HOMES IN



GRANBOROUGH, AYLESBURY VALE


In July 2019, MDP secured planning permission for the conversion of agricultural barns into two family homes under the Class Q Permitted Development provisions.

The application was initially refused and MDP assembled and issued a strong statement of case for appeal, which was granted and planning permission ultimately granted. 

The properties were not in protected conservation areas or an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and therefore it was possible to go down the route of Class Q approval for the conversion of the barns without excessive planning restrictions.

The application was for two identical homes, semi-detached, providing impressive modern living arranged over two floors. The site commands impressive views out to the open countryside, providing a stunning location for the premises. The homes were designed by Architects William Green and contain some stunning features as well as practical and functional living spaces, all within a beautiful edge of village rural setting.

MDP are delighted to have gained planning permission via Class Q Approval for this development.
