Mark Doodes Planning have successfully secured planning permission for the erection of 2 new semi-detached dwellings in Netheravon, Wiltshire. The greenfield site is on the northern side of Pigott Close, adjacent to the junction with Salisbury Road and opposite the AONB.
The site was outside of the village boundary, as defined in the recent Local Plan and is part of a wider special area of conversation, in respect of nutrient neutrality, on the River Test. As such it was not a foregone conclusion that consent would be granted, indeed the first attempt at a planning permission was refused at Committee, for reasons relating to; settlement boundary, Ecology, Highways (visibility splay).
MDP worked with officers over the course of 2022 to overcome these issues and a resubmission was made which was approved by officers in October 2022.
The client is delighted with the result. The plots will be available for purchase in 2023.
