In January 2021, Mark Doodes Planning submitted an application for a beautifully designed self build replacement dwelling in Buckinghamshire. The site had been granted planning permission some years before which had since lapsed. Building work could not begin until the permission had been updated.
The proposed four bed design replaces an old and unattractive bungalow with a bold and innovative family home. As time passes bungalows are disappearing and being replaced by larger more modern designs of varying success in their design concepts. This application lifts the general design standard for the area whilst being sensitive to the existing street view.
MDP managed the new submission including updating the design and application to address conditions that had been added to the previous outdated permission, lessening the need for the LPA to add new conditions to the permission.
