Office administrator required for small Town Planning Consultancy based near Marlborough. Working hours are 4 days per week 9:30am-3.30pm (To be discussed). The successful candidate will be expected to work during some school holidays. This is a self employed position.
Small friendly dedicated office on ground floor of Victorian house.
About MDP
MDP are a Town Planning Consultancy who provide landowners, self-builders and property developers with strategic advice and support in maximising the potential for their land assets. We work with a wide range of client types from high net worth individuals to private land and home owners. We have good exposure to the self-build market through affiliation with the National Self Build Centre.

Skills/Knowledge
The ideal person for this role will be self-motivated and be able work reasonably independently, using initiative to complete work to a good standard. To be clear, no Town Planning experience is required, and training will be provided.

Terms
The contract will be for an initial three-month period, subject to a review. Payment is monthly by invoice.

Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday (4 days)

Duties would include
- Updating the website & social media with projects & news
- Completing online planning forms
- Preparing supporting documentation
- Monitoring applications
- Basic Town Planning duties and site research
- Efficient email correspondence and taking clear messages
- Formatting documents in line with company branding
- Maintaining office filing systems and records
- Maintaining diary, arranging and scheduling appointments / meetings
- Occasional attendance on-site required for example to take photographs
Skills/Knowledge

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Publisher and PowerPoint and Excel
- Good attention to detail
- Proactive, organised and works on their own initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced, varied, project-based environment
Experience
- Experience in a professional office environment is essential
- UK Drivers Licence and car owner essential
