Class Q Barn Conversion in Royal Wootton Bassett
Mark Doodes Planning prepared and submitted a Class Q planning application for a large agricultural barn in Royal Wootton Bassett. The barn was proposed to be converted to a dwelling with alterations to the exterior. The application was refused by the Local Authority twice. MDP used their experience and knowledge of the planning system to secure planning permission at appeal in May 2018. The existing barn design is modern and of substantial manufacture lending itself well to the change of use proposed. The walls, roof, and other features will be altered, modernised, and repaired. A large area of the roof will now be left open to allow light and air to circulate and to create a larger sense of amenity. These alterations help provide a new family home in a location a short distance from a main service centre. |
