The site lies in the historic and popular village of Southmoor, within the parish of Kingston Bagpuize with local amenities including a school, pub and some local shops.
MDP were appointed by the landowner to undertake a formal site appraisal to scope the site’s potential for development. Following this initial assessment, we were instructed to submit an application for the erection of up to 3 dwellings and associated infrastructure and detailed access designs.
Various site layouts were discussed with during pre-application including linear frontage units and backland options. This was also an opportunity to discuss the case with the local parish.
Objections were overcome regarding highways, ecology, trees and drainage.
Once developed, the site will provide up to new self build homes in a popular area and make efficient use of the land.
