Mark Doodes
Planning Consultant/Director Mark is an experienced Town Planning Consultant who has worked for over 20 years in Oxfordshire and the South of England, in both local and central government, as well as private practice; he has a firm understanding of the planning system and the way things work from both sides of the fence. He has strong experience in residential schemes, in particular ranging from 1-700 units, including many self-build projects where he is one of the member partners of the National Self-Build Centre in Swindon. Other experience includes called-in appeals, renewable energy, neighbourhood planning and drafting Environmental Statements. Mark’s key strengths are being able to navigate through the maze of planning rules and regulations and being able to present proposals in a clear and concise manner, which can be understood by both clients and the Planning Authorities, to achieve realistic and worthwhile outcomes. This has been demonstrated on numerous occasions with some examples shown on the projects page of this website. Earlier in his career, Mark was involved in service improvement projects working with Local Authorities including process re-engineering, e-planning and "lean" exercises as well as on Nationally recognised projects such as the Planning Portal, 1App and Redbridge-i, meaning he can act in a management capacity. |
