Three-bedroom dwelling in drayton mill

These plans are for the erection of a three-bedroom dwelling, named the Courtyard House, in Drayton Mill. The site has been used as ancillary amenity space and was surplus to requirements. Drayton Mill is an organically developed modern high-quality hamlet and is close to employment and transport facilities, making it a sustainable location and an ideal place for modern architecture and quality design.

The design brief was to use traditional rural forms and designs with a modern and clean design. The final design achieves this objective.  The design successfully links a number of existing structures to form a cohesive set. The designs put a focus on strengthening the rural character of the site through the use of sensitive design.
