stables in Goosey
Mark Doodes Planning prepared and submitted a planning application for a new stable block to the rear of Pound Hall, a 15th-century farmhouse in Goosey. The plans were approved in November 2017. Within the application, the layouts proposed reflected the surrounding nature and use of the site.
In Goosey, the whole village is considered to be open countryside, and the site is also within a Conservation Area and between two Listed Buildings, including Pound Hall. The stable will take its scale and design cues from stables in the surrounding area, so it meshes well with nearby structures.
Additionally, it's important not to harm or detract the character of the Conversation Area and nearby Listed Buildings, which was taken into consideration when planning this site. MDP has worked on many projects that involve Conversation Areas, Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and Listed Buildings.
