Outline planning permission for A substantial home in the cotswolds
|
MDP set out a strategy in 2017 involving a succession of several Planning Applications, culminating in Outline Planning Permission for a 7,000 sq ft replacement dwelling in the Cotswolds.
The site was located in open countryside with public rights of way nearby and in a relatively exposed position with commanding views towards Banbury. Working closely with Q Chishti Properties LTD, this project became a strong example of effective collaboration. Their clarity of vision and proactive engagement throughout the process supported a smooth progression from initial concept to successful planning outcomes, helping to unlock the site’s full potential. The initial application sought to establish the lawful use of the 2-acre site as residential. Subsequent applications focused on relocating the existing bungalow and replacing it with a significantly larger dwelling. The client was delighted with our work since, following a further valuation, the plot tripled in value once Outline Planning Permission had been secured. The site was subsequently sold through Knight Frank. MDP have provided advice to the buyer, who is now taking forward the Reserved Matters with an award-winning architect. The photos below show the site and the original dwelling. (The above image is for illustrative purposes only as a potential development, courtesy of Knight Frank, the selling agent.) |
