Strategic land in shurdington, near cheltenham
This site, which is located off Leckhampton Lane in Shurdington near Cheltenham, was approved for draft allocation to be removed from the Green Belt, following strategic advice and representations from MDP.
As part of the work, research and analysis of the site revealed that there is existing housing on three sides, excellent access and that the site shows no other constraints for example, not being in the AONB and free from flood risks. It is located in a “larger village” between two of the largest settlements in the wider area and therefore is most suitable to be removed from the Green Belt and form part of the land stock available for much needed housing development.
The MDP team will work with the client in assessing future opportunities for this site.
